OUR OPERATORS
FIXED LINE PROVIDER There is only one fixed line operator in the country which is the Government owned Sierra Leone Telecommunications Company Limited (SiERRATEL) which company now owns and has management and control of Sierra Leones only international gateway for a period of two years subject to renewal, by virtue of section 33 sub-section (5) of the Act. GSM MOBILE PHONE OPERATORS Prior to the commencement of the enabling statute establishing the Commission, three companies had licences to operate digital mobile telecommunications and related services in the country. These companies were registered with the Ministry of Transport and Communications which regulated the industry then. The three Companies operating in the country are: 1. Zain SL Ltd2. Comium

PROCESSES The key activities for which processes have been developed and maintained include the Application for Licensing, Approval and Payment Processes, Fees Collection, Operations and Compliance monitoring, Periodic Reporting by Operators, Consumer Information, Complaints and Resolution process.
